Jason Fischer is the Tournament Director for the Lake Erie Walleye Trail. Jason was at the center of a cheating controversy that put fishing on the front page of major newspapers, as well as being on network television and radio. The LEWT cheating scandal also completely blew up social media, too. Listen to Jason Fischer tell the story of how he discovered that a pair of formerly successful walleye fishermen loaded their caught walleyes with lead weights and fish filets, trying to pull a fast one on the entire fishing world. You can’t put one past Jason Fischer! He also did a great job of keeping order at the weigh-in, as many spectators thought the pair of cheaters were going to be tarred and feathered or possibly hung from the highest nearby tree. It’s a story we hope will never be repeated but hats off to Jason Fischer.

Hats off to our guest, the one-and-only Scott Martin, who joined us while being chased down by Hurricane Ian in Florida. We pray that Scott escaped safely. Scott was with us to talk about the upcoming 2022 XVI Black Bass World Championship at Lake Murray in South Carolina in October. Scott and his partner, Scott Canterbury are favored to win the whole shebang! They won the gold in Mexico in 2018, so why not another gold medal run on home waters? This interview proves why Scott Martin is one of the most popular anglers in bass fishing today.

Some guys go the extra mile to accommodate their fans and the media. Maryland’s Bryan Schmitt is one of those pro anglers. He graciously gave us this interview while practicing for an important tournament, while he was stuck under a marina canopy in a driving rainstorm. How cool is that? This young man is really good. In just his second season on the Elite Series, Bryan had three Top 10s, including his victory at the 2021 Guaranteed Rate Bassmaster Elite at Lake Champlain. His second Elite victory just occurred on the Mississippi River out of LaCrosse, Wisconsin. In addition to being one of the busiest fishermen in pro bass fishing, he spends his free time guiding for saltwater stripers on the Potomac River. Give Bryan Schmitt a listen, if you will.

Yippee Ki Yay! That’s the first time any fishing show has used that term, we are pretty sure! Our guest is Dakota Ebare. He’s from Texas, by way of Louisiana. He started out as a bull rider and a bull fighter in the rodeo world. He came to his senses and got into big-time professional fishing. He certainly made the right choice because Dakota Ebare is currently setting the Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour on fire. Dakota’s tournament schedule is non-stop and he is one of the hardest workers in bass fishing. Ebare broke the MLF record when he landed a 7-pound, 10-ounce smallmouth during the Championship Round on Cayuga Lake in New York. We bet that John Wayne never caught one that big! Listen to this young cowboy tell his story!
Dan Johnston from St. Croix joins us to talk about fall fishing. Is this the best time of the year to fish? Dan Johnston presents a pretty compelling argument to back that theory up!
