Nope! It’s not a re-run. Last week we featured an interview with Will Davis. This week we get to spend quality time with his father, the legendary William Davis, Sr. Mr. Davis invented the swim jig many years ago. He also invented the shaky head jig. Don’t believe it? Davis has the inventions registered and can prove it. He is the owner of the Davis Bait Company in Alabama and his creations have helped professional bass anglers wing hundreds of thousands of dollars in big tournaments across the country. Davis also manufactures a very special line of spinnerbaits that work like you have never seen before. William Davis, Sr. is a great guy and a genius in the tackle business. What an incredible prize for a young tournament fisherman! Will Davis Jr. won the 2022 TNT Fireworks B.A.S.S. Nation Championship on Pickwick Lake in Alabama. What did he win? Will received a healthy check for his efforts, along with the use of a fully-rigged boat and motor for the next year. That was the good stuff, and now for the really good stuff! Will was awarded a spot for the upcoming 2023 Bassmaster Classic in Tennessee and an invitation to fish the Bassmaster Elite circuit for the next two years. That is totally amazing! James “Worldwide” Watson is the proud owner of a gold medal! Team USA just won the gold, silver and bronze medals at the 2022 16th annual Black Bass World Championship in Columbia, South Carolina on Lake Murray. Watson and his partner, Fred “Boom Boom” Roumbanis led the way for Team USA. James Watson is no stranger to gold, he has a medal from the 2018 tournament in Mexico, as well. Watson, a successful Major League Fishing pro is looking forward to bass fishing becoming an Olympic sport. We hope it does! Give “Worldwide” Watson a listen. He does an excellent interview.
Dan Johnston from St. Croix joins us to talk about crappie fishing. Dan just got back from the Crappie Expo and Mr. Crappie Invitational Tournament in Branson, Missouri and Table Rock Lake.
Bassmaster Elite pro Keith Combs just won the St. Croix Bassmaster Central Open at Sam Rayburn in Texas. More importantly, the victory earned Keith Combs a berth in the 2023 Bassmaster Classic on the Tennessee River at Knoxville, Tennessee. Congratulations, Keith!
