Mike Iaconelli has made his highly anticipated decision and he well be joining the Bassmaster Elite Series again. Ike did it the hard way and challenged himself to re-qualify for the tour by winning the Northern Series of the Bassmaster Opens. Ike has been off the Bassmaster Elites since 2018 and looks forward to competing and qualifying to fish the 2023 Bassmaster Classic, an event he has won in the past. Kristine Fischer just won the biggest event in the sport of kayak fishing – The Hobie Bass Open Series three-day Tournament of Champions on Alabama’s Lake Eufaula. Kristine is a multi-time national kayak tournament champion who is known for her prowess in musky fishing, bass fishing, ice fishing, as well as her mastery of yak fishing. Kristine explains how she figured out the water and the fish to win the crown. She offers some great fishing tips that will help anyone who fishes, whether its from a kayak, a boat or from shore. Bassmaster Elite pro Chris Zaldain and his partner, Captain Ryan Rickard just won the Yamaha Bassmaster Redfish Cup Championship presented by Skeeter out of Port Aransas, Texas this past week. Zaldain never fished for the feisty redfish before, but it didn’t take him long to fall in love with these stubborn brutes. Incredibly, one of Zaldain’s competitors in the big tournament was his wife, Trait Zaldain. How did that work out at home? We find that out along with many other interesting fishing facts from one of the sport’s top pros and one of the nicest guys around.
